K-Series K2 Universal Utility Knife, 110mm, Stainless/Carbon, Fine Woods

Price

R 1 920,00

The Robert Herder K5 small chef's knives has a blade of only 11.5 cm. The cutting edge of the blade is completely ground and can be used completely. It is a sharp chef's knife suitable for cutting vegetables, meat, fish and fruit. But chopping herbs, crushing peppercorns and peeling garlic cloves is also possible without any problems. This knife is truly an all-around talent!

The blade is made of stainless steel and ground by hand according to the principle of the traditional „Solingen thin grind“. The result is a very sharp knife.  This is one of the most beautiful, but not yet very well known, types of wood in the world. The wood species has a great flame drawing and a beautiful color. The wood is attached to the blade with four rivets.

Ergonomics was also given great importance. The handle is slim and graceful with rounded shapes and fits perfectly in the hand. The K-Series was developed for cooking friends who want to make intensive use of their kitchen knives.

Robert Herder knives are largely handmade and can therefore have a slightly longer delivery time. This also means that the delivery time is sometimes longer than stated on our website.

    High price is worth it

Very nice kitchen knife, good materials, good design, good balance, sharp and handy without being cumbersome, just pay attention to the non stainless steel blade, as soon as the task is finished, clean it and wipe it dry, still dont be surprised to see some patina after use. Higher than expected price range, but still reasonnable in my opinion. The price is forgotten when the quality remains.

    Thin and Sharp

Very sharp, light - versatile. Thinness of blade contributing to those positives is also susceptible to breakage - strictly slicing; not a chopping blade. A carbon blade so, not a put away wet/damp knife ... and slicing of acidic foods can stain the blade quickly; many call that character.

    Super comfortable

I already had several carbon knives from Robert Herder and don't want any other knives anymore. The K2 knife meets the requirements, but in my opinion, it feels slightly less comfortable in the hand than its bigger brother, the Robert Herder Lignum 3 chef's knife.

    The best

It really is a great knife. I have expensive Japanese knives too, but I am increasingly preferring Robert Herder knives, just thinking about the ease of sharpening; a quick run on the ceramic rod and they are razor-sharp again.

    Fits well and handles nicely

It fits well in the hand and is razor-sharp. It is also easy to keep sharp by running the knife along a 3000 grit bar a few times. The Herder Windmuhle knives are also easy to keep clean with the maintenance kit. However, it is also nice to let a natural patina develop as the carbon steel oxidizes slightly.

    Great addition

Great, handy knife (size). I already had a large chef's knife from Robert, but if you just want to chop an onion or a few tomatoes, you're more likely to grab this knife. You pay a bit, but you get what you pay for. And of course, Robert Herder knives are always super sharp!!! Love it

    Very handy

A super sharp and very handy knife, a joy to work with in the kitchen. Also beautifully finished, a jewel in the kitchen! As a gift for my partner, this purchase was a great success. The next purchase will be the larger version.

    Lovely

Lovely smallish knife, well balanced, light. Very good blade. I think excellent for a smaller hand. Needs to be cleaned and oiled immediately after use, some discolouration seems unavoidable.
